Actually, you don't need to diet per se in order to lose weight, I read this at the website in the box below, they have a lot of instruction, I shed 5 pounds by using their methods.
References :
wasert.myfat-loss.info

1) Vitamin and mineral deficiency, causing skin, hair, and nail problems.

2) Blood sugar problems.

3) The risk of developing an eating disorder.

And yes, I do tell people the risks. I have an eating disorder, and in a year I'll be a nurse. I'm not that underweight, 100 lbs. at 5' 6.5". I do suffer from common problems: Difficulty falling and staying asleep, obsessing over food and calories, purging my food via exercise. It's exhausting.
References :
Fact #1:
I knew a guy who lost 30lbs simply by switching from regular to diet.

Fact #2:
People are MUCH more likely to alter their bad habbits then quit them.

Fact #3:
Altering bad habbits rather then trying to quit them all together proves to be much more successful long term, usually when someone simply trys to quit the habbit they will start it back up after a short period of time.

Fact #4:
The sole reason "Nicorete" products work is based on Facts #2&3.

Fact #5:
Many psycologists use this method for other bad habits such as nail-biteing, smoking, bordom eating, ect.

Just sayin....
References :
19 year old fitness and yoga enthusiast

All the doctors and food experts say targeted weight loss is unlikely, especially in the waist and belly places, but I managed it with acai berry. I know they say that pills will not work, but they certainly worked for me, and they have been shown on CBS News too. There is a free trial on currently at http://besizd.myslimmingforyou.info , give it a try, what is the worst that could happen?
References :
http://besizd.myslimmingforyou.info

- Ripe bananas; the ones with brown spots on them are the ones that have the highest levels of dopamine.

- Eat lots of fruit and vegetables which contain antioxidants and this lowers your free radicals which lower dopamine levels. Best choices - red beans, blueberries, cranberries, artichokes, prunes and strawberries.

- Reduce sugary foods and saturated fats, which lower dopamine levels in the bloodstream.

- Cut out caffeine and alcohol, which both cause dopamine levels to sink.

- Almonds, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds which have tyrosine in them.

- Eat plenty of dairy products, which they have tyrosine in them as well. Also the protein which is in chicken, fish and eggs.

- Eat plenty of carbohydrates - low-carb diets are notorious for causing depression from low dopamine levels. There's a book called "Potatoes Not Prozac" which discusses the importance of carbohydrates.

- Take vitamins C and E for their antioxidants.

- Meditate to reduce stress, as stress lowers dopamine levels.

- Get plenty of sleep; lack of sleep lowers dopamine levels.

- Exercise is important, and it needs to be endurance-based eg yoga, swimming, long-distance running and cycling. However, TOO MUCH exercise will lower dopamine levels, so don't overdo it. Exercise to the point where you feel good and where you get a better night's sleep afterwards.
References :
strong interest in this subject

Any excercise and I believe protein helps. Fruits seem to make me feel happier, but I've heard that getting some sun increases levels of dopamine and also laughter.
