This is more frustrating than interesting but here goes. Maybe you folks have some ideas. I only go to McDonalds for Diet Coke or iced tea. I

I’m ready to throw in the towel when asking for a plain iced tea now that they have that disgusting sweet tea. My son got it once. It’s more sugar than ice. Absolutely disgusting and I have a sweet tooth. No matter how I ask for a plain iced tea, I invariably get sweet tea. I’ve taken to asking now before I drive away. I’ve asked for plain iced tea, iced tea with no sugar, regular iced tea, unsweetened iced tea and just today I asked for a large, plain tea, unsweetened, no sugar or anything else in it. Yup, got a sweet tea. The guy said that was how the person punched it in. Are they all brain dead? I have no idea how else to ask for it.

Any interesting stories out there?

I used to work at a BURGER KING. One night this woman came in and complained about us screwing up her order. She demanded we remake her food and refund her money cause it was all wrong. She left the bag of food in her car, and my manager could not find any record of the transaction on the register. At this point she is really POed. She goes out to her car and grabs the bag of food and comes back in. She slams the MCDONALD’S bag down on the counter, and demands her order remade and her money back. When we pointed out her mistake she said "well I am never eating here again, and I am calling corporate to complain about this" Like it is our fault she did not know the difference between BK and McD’s.

Will there be any significant damage if I skip all three meals once every two days? Or maybe skip lunch and dinner?

Furthermore, when I do eat food, is the following a good makeup of what’s needed to keep the brain up and running? (I’m doing some intense studying so brain power is needed.)
Breakfast: Fruit salad – Basically all the fruit I can find with ease: Banana, apple, orange, blueberry, grapefruit and a cup of pure Pomegranate juice. Maybe some porridge too.
Lunch: Salad (tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, cucumber)and chicken/tuna. I might add a bit of onion every few days or so.
Dinner: Same as lunch but if I had chicken in the afternoon, I’d have tuna in the evening.

Is this okay? Should I take some other supplements? Vitamins etc.

Thank you.

No that is bad bad bad and let me point something out to you.

Fruit is full of sugar. Do not eat too much.

Secondly, most of your veg are sweet ones, tomatoes carrots etc all have the most sugar of vegetables.

You need to eat things like lean plain chicken, tuna, oats, whole grain cereal.

If you skip meals you’re in for a world of trouble. Your body won’t know what’s going on. You need at LEAST 1000 calories a day and probably 1500 and not more than that.

To lose weight you need to eat healthy for a long time if you currently have a bad diet. Or eat healthy and excerise. Excercise loses weight.

I hope you are looking forward to being even fatter than you are, because that’s what’s going to happen and you might even end up with some fun medical problems too like the very painful gout!

Do not, I repeat do not, skip meals. That is the best way to put ON weight unless you plan to never eat normally again.
It sounds like you well and truly have brain damage already.

please list down common foods, vegetables, drinks, juices or whatsoever…

i have an incoming college test this month. i want to be ready as i am ensuring my success with this test. please help me TNX

Ive been feeling depressive for some time now , and need something to life my mood.Besides chocolate , are there any other types of food/fruit ect that i can eat that helps bring more of a upper mood lifter.Id prefer not to eat sweets (fat/diet) and do not want to take drugs or anti depressions ect,

My friend,

It is important first to get a strong breakfast: Well balance. I enjoy a salad in the mornings along with beans toast and an egg. Drink coffee but only in moderation. And THIS IS IMPORTANT PART: give yourself extra time in the morning for walking. Walking is practiced among most traditional cultures (none of them are depressive) as part of meal.

I want to cut down on my calorie intake from now on because I found out that it’s healthier and you can live longer if your body doesnt get too many calories, because your brain goes into a kind of ’survival mode’ and tries to keep your body alive longer. I don’t mean starving or anorexia, just a limit on my calories, like about 1940 per day. I am a vegetarian and I’ve wanted to go vegan for quite some time and now that I have learned this I am going vegan, because then it will be easier to have a lower calorie intake.
But the question is: won’t I be very hungry? How long will it take for my body to get used to less food? I don’t want to be starving in school and not able to concentrate. Any advice?

Yes I have read that too! I am a 38 year old woman.

I tried all kinds of diets, including eliminating greasy foods, chocolate, caffeine, and sugar. Increasing my water intake and not drinking soda. None of those worked for me. I was often hungry!

Recently I changed my diet because of a book I read and I love it, I think it would help you keep from being hungry and reduce your calorie intake!

I was absolutely stunned when I tried this diet, I have found so many benefits:

1. My acne went away! I had it for 23 years and it abruptly went away completely! I never thought it would go away, after having acne for over 20 years!
2. My energy level is higher than when I was in my 20’s.
3. My memory has improved (I am not kidding)
4. I lost 15-20 pounds and my weight is great now! Not too thin either.
5. I never feel hungry, if I do, I just eat a zone snack (not a lot of calories)

I read a bood called "Enter the Zone" by Dr. Barry Sears that explains the science of how food acts in your body and explains why certain foods are good or bad. It just makes a lot of sense to me. I eat a lot of food now, but very few calories.

What do I eat now: lots of fruits, vegetables, dairy, fish, seafood, nuts, seeds, and olives. I eat less than 40g of sugar per day (on average). I also eat "in the Zone" at most meals. See the book "Enter the Zone" by Dr. Sears, it explains the science behind how food acts in your body. I still eat dark chocolate and iced tea (without sugar) every day! Still no acne! It has been one year without acne now! I still have some red marks and scars, but I am confident it won’t come back again. Dr. Sears wrote a lot of books too, but "Enter the Zone" explains the science, which is facinating. He also wrote a book called "The Soy Zone" which is great if you want to eat vegan or vegetarian.

There are also some interesting books on diet related to your skin. Kat James wrote a book called, "The Truth About Beauty". It describes how to transform your looks without surgery (via foods you choose). Also, Nicolas Perricone wrote a book called, "The Perricone Prescription" which talks about foods that improve your skin. He also lots of other books on similar topics. Most of these books can probably be checked out of your local library for free! I read parts of both and incorporated some of the things I read. But I won’t eat things I do not like.

In my opinion, the cause is different for each person. Don’t rule out your diet though! When I was 15, I don’t know if I would have changed my diet if someone told me to; I loved steak, pizza, candy, bread, pasta, and lots of other junk! But if someone told me it could get rid of my acne, I would have tried it in a heartbeat!!

Let me know what you think if you try the diet or read the book. Really it is not a "diet", just a different way to eat. I love it and will never go back to eating the way I used too!

I usually like to buy this sub from subway, but I really don’t feel any benefits I read about when it comes to tuna’s omega-3 co-relation. There’s tons of research supporting the health benefits of omega-3 on the brain. What should I supplement my diet with in order to gain the most of the benefits that omega-3 or any "brain food" has to offer?

All tuna has omega 3. At subway though they add tons of mayo to it. I eat a lot of salmon for my omega 3. You can buy it in the freezer section in individually wrapped vacuum sealed packages. About 3 minutes from freezer to table. Just defrost in the microwave, add some salt free seasoning. Viola! Instant omega 3. They make many supplements with omega 3 but eating it in your food contributes to better absorption.

Hi i’m almost 20 y ,i weight 184 lb and i’m 5′9, every day i tried to begin a diet but i’m hungry every 2 hours and there’s no healthy snacks, some tips to how stop my brain thinking about food all the time and what is the normal weight for a female in 5′9.help i can’t go to the beach anymore.

No healthy snacks? Bag up celery or carrot sticks… broccoli or cauliflower…apple or orange….string cheese or yogurt…. there ARE healthy snacks.

I just asked then do you have MSG ON THE foods and they said YES we do I asked can you not put it on mine they said its already been sent out so NEXT TIME you get a take away ask if they have it. 9 times out of 10 they do.

hat are the MSG side effects?

MSG is an excitotoxin, which in a nut shell means, these chemical transmitters excite your brain cells to death. Children seem to be more susceptible. Russell Blaylock, Author of Excitotoxins the Taste that Kills, discovered that excitotoxins, like MSG, may aggravate or precipitate many neurological disorders.

With what seems like more and more awareness about neurological disorders like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, most people want to do all they can to avoid developing these disorders. The safest and easiest way to take care of your brain health is avoid all food additives by eating a raw food, whole food diet. After all, your body was not created to assimilate and utilize artificial or man made anything. Your body was created to utilize food as it was created. So avoid MSG side effects and eat food in its most natural form.

Some specific side effects and disorders related to excitotoxins discussed in Blaylock’s book include:

Seizures
Brain cell death
Brain damage
Allergies
Headaches
Strokes
Hypoglycemia
Brain Tumors

None of my food has MSG on it, but that is because I don’t eat takeaways

Its not so much just one particular thing, I have spent years memorising effects categorising the outcomes and focussing in on mood, characteristics in behaviour and using methodology typically used for food poisioning analysis where a group has various food kinds to isolate and remove un helpful foods from my diet.

I was blessed with a stimulative memory with huge capacity, over a rotating 8 month period I can remember when I last had a particular food, what happened in the next 48 hours and retake the same food when recovered to find out what happens.

My good foods are: fishes, green vegetables, grains with the exception of wheat, oat glutton is ok but not wheat, so no bread pateries etc even though I love the taste. Oats purifies blood. Lean been no more than one per wk, lean chicken breast skinless, cauliflower, brocolli, nuts all kinds, carrots, and banned: Dairy of any kind, its protein, and limit coffee, no alcohol green tea ok, no cigarettes gosh what a wowser!
Feed back

I haven’t researched anything in this particular area in a long time, but…I too have a great memory…and am very aware of what I eat. I use very little oils…except olive oil on salads. The foods that make me feel better are lots of greens (spinach, polksalad (sp?), mustard greens, turnip greens), I eat lots of fish (crappie or catfish) when I can. Mainly soups with mostly vegetables and tomato juice as the juice in them. Very little chicken. Lots of salads (green salads, crab salads). The only dairy products that I eat much of would be ice cream (once a week) and cottage cheese. I eat very little bread, but I do eat lots of oatmeal and cereals…this is the only place that I intake milk. But one thing that I swear by that makes me feel better in a matter of minutes when I’m not feeling well, emotionally, is a plain chocolate bar.

I would say the tuna has a good source of omega-3,at the end of the day its fish.i have started taking omega-3 supplements (capsules) i dont feel any different though and i have been taking them for a month.Pilchards is also a good source apparently.
